Sprint’s HTC EVO Shift 4G Pops On Wallmart’s Site

The highly anticipated Sprint’s 4G LTE handset, EVO Shift 4G, has just got its very own page at the Wallmart’s website recently, along with its specification sheet attached on the page.

According to the spotted information at the page, the HTC EVO Shift 4G sports a 3.6" Capacitive Touchscreen display with WVGA (800×480 pixels) resolution and a slide out full QWERTY keyboard for texting convenience. This Sprint’s CDMA compatible handset, which shipped with an Android 2.2 OS, offers support for hi-speed 10Mbps WiMAX.

Fix for Samsung Intercept Units Bricked by Sprint Froyo Update is Available

If you're Sprint's subscribers with Samsung Intercept smartphone and your device has been bricked since installing the Android 2.2 Froyo update on it.. maybe this is a good news for you :) Folks at XDA Developer, to be exact, user Whosdaman, has came out with a fix sent by his district manager in Sprint via email.

Sanyo Zio from Sprint, Free on Contract

The Android-running Sanyo Zio, is currently being listed to be offered for free by Sprint if you buy it via their online website as a part of their holiday online savings program. However, there do a highlined terms in which that "it requires a new line activation or eligible upgrade and two year agreement".

Sanyo Zio, which available from Sprint since October 10, is built based Andoid 2.1 (Eclair) OS. This smartphone features 3.5" WVGA touchscreen with a virtual full QWERTY keyboard, 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus and video playback, Wi-Fi (802.11b/g), Bluetooth 2.0, microUSB port, microSD slot and multimedia player with 3.5 mm audio jack.

MTV Music ID is Available on Android Sprint Devices with Sprint ID

Sprint has just officially announced the availability of MTV Music ID, exclusively on the following Sprint Android devices: LG Optimus S, Sanyo Zio and Samsung Transform.

MTV Music ID pack includes MTV apps, widget and other popular third-party music applications, such as MTV Meter, MTV News App, MTV Headlines Widget, MTV Photos, MTV Twitter, Rhapsody, Pandora, SoundHound and doubleTwist.

Sprint’s Sanyo Taho E4100 Phone by Kyocera

A new rugged handset has just appeared on Sprint’s fact sheet page, Sanyo Taho E4100 Phone by Kyocera. Means, it will be rolled out soon to their subscribers :)

Sanyo Taho is a clamshell handset which runs on CDMA networks (800,1900 Mhz), with support for Sprint’s 1xEV-DO rev.0 hi-speed 3G data bearer. Built based on military standard 810G, this phone withstands dust, shock, vibration, extreme temperatures as well as blowing rain and and water immersion.

Software Update for Sprint’s Overdrive 3G/4G Mobile Hotspot is Available

Sprint has just announced that a new software update for Overdrive 3G/4G Mobile Hotspot by Sierra Wireless, firmware version 2.23 is available beginning today, November 10, 2010.

By installing this latest firmware, users will get an improvement on Wi-Fi, connection and device stability; an improved 4G Rescan timer, new over temp UI indications, enhannced start time and 4G automatic update feature.

Sprint has just officially announced the upcoming availability of ZTE PEEL™, a unique device that cradles 2nd and 3rd generation iPod touch with a case-like form factor, enabling them to get the advantage of Sprint’s 3G network.

Using it is quite easy; There is no software installation required. Samsung Epic 4G is Sprint’s New Galaxy S Smartphone

The Samsung Epic 4G, which soon will be added into Sprint's handsetes line-up, is the second 4G capable handset from Sprint. This smartphone has already appeared in Sprint's handsets fact sheet today.

The Epic 4G is Samsung Mobile's first 4G Android-powered device. This Galaxy S smartphone is built based on Android 2.1 platform.

The handset sports a 4-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touch screen display with pinch-to-zoom functionality; completing its user interface that supports a series of advanced touch screen gestures including multi-touch pinch, long tap and zoom and vertical and horizontal swiping. Motorola i1 Android Smartphone With Nextel Direct Connect

Sprint officially announced the upcoming availability of Motorola i1 into their handsets line-up. This handset will be available first on Sunday, July 25, through direct ship sales channels for $149.99 with two-year service agreement --after a $50 mail-in rebate.

Categorized as a rugged handset, the Motorola i1 comes in a solid body construction that meets military specifications for protection against dust, shock, vibration and blowing rain. The handset measures 58 x 118 x 12.8 mm and weighs 131 grams.

Motorola i1 sports a large 3.1-inches HVGA (320x480 pixels) touchscreen display as well as 5 MP autofocus camera w/ LED flash.

Samsung Intercept is Coming to Sprint

One of the biggest mobile phone provider in the US, Samsung, has announced that one of their latest android powered handset; Samsung Intercept, will be available via Sprint.

Samsung Intercept is a fully featured smartphone which built based on Android 2.1 OS, powered with a dependable 667 MHz Samsung S3C6410 (ARM11) processor. This handset runs on dual band CDMA networks, with support for 1xEV-DO rev.0 hi-speed data connectivity.

On the display, Samsung Intercept sports a 3" TFT capacitive touchscreen with 240 x 400 pixels resolution, supporting 16.7 million (24-bit) colors.
