For BlackBerry Bold 9700 owners whose looking for an OS upgrade, and don't wanna wait a little longer to get the official version released, BBleaks has just outs the software solution and made it downloadable via several sources. In addition to the Bold 9700, they also release the same version OS updates for either Curve 9300 and Pearl 3G as well.

All of these upgrade are said, already tested. However, as these OS solution are an unofficial one, if you are interested in getting the new firmware on your BlackBerry device, you would be the only one responsible for any malfunctions that might appear. Make sure to backup all the important data before applying any updates, just in case any unwilling things happen.

It might be a good news for US-based Samsung Galaxy series smartphone owners. The company, via their official twitter account has just announced that they are working on a "simple and reliable upgrade" to get it's Galaxy S smartphones to Google's Android 2.2 Froyo operating system.

Toshiba has finally releasing a firmware upgrade for their "not so successful" Toshiba Folio 100 tablet PC.

Back then, this Froyo running Toshiba Folio 100 was unveiled last September. At its first impression: 10.1-inch multitouch WSVGA display, Nvidia Tegra 2 processor inside, 16 GB internal memory, microSD support, 1.3 megapixel camera, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, 3G support and so on.. everything was quite alright.

HTC HD2 (Vodafone) Got the Updated ROM

HTC has just outed the ROM upgrade which since Dec 22, is already available for HTC HD2 (Vodafone) users to be downloaded. Depending on its base languages, the update comes with the following versions: English (3.14.161.3), German (3.14.162.5), Dutch (3.14.172.3) and Spanish (3.14.164.4).

Froyo Update for UK’s Galaxy S is Available

As officially announced via Twitter just recent, Samsung has just outed the Android 2.2 (Froyo) OS update for the Samsung Galaxy S smartphone in the UK, which is available and applicable for all Galaxy S' users, regardless their wireless carrier.

Just like most of Galaxy S' update rolled out in the other regions, this firmware update requires the installation of Kies, which will guide users through the installation process after it being installed in the handset.

There is a good new for Canadian who own either a Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant (model GT-I9000) or Samsung Galaxy S Fascinate 3G+ (model SGH-T959), the new Android 2.2 operating system upgrade is already available just recent.

Apparently, this upgrade comes quicker than it was expected before; to be released in early 2011. This kind a goodness is always welcome, i guess..

The first Gingerbread-running Google Nexus S smartphone by Samsung, has just got its first software update rolled out just recent.

This software update, dubbed as GRH78, is meant to replaces the previously available firmware GRH55 on the handset. Regarding the update, the official changelog shows the following, “This system update from Google contains important bug fixes plus the latest version of Maps.”

If you're Sprint's subscribers with Samsung Intercept smartphone and your device has been bricked since installing the Android 2.2 Froyo update on it.. maybe this is a good news for you :) Folks at XDA Developer, to be exact, user Whosdaman, has came out with a fix sent by his district manager in Sprint via email.

Following Vodafone, T-Mobile UK has just announced the release of the new Android 2.2 Froyo software update for their subscribers who have the HTC Wildfire smartphones. This announcement was made on their help and support forum, under "2.2 Update for the HTC Wildfire" thread by Sorcha, T-Mobile forum team.

Currently, the only android smartphone with Gingerbread is the recent released Google Nexus S by Samsung. Soon, it won't be the only one anymore..

According to the recent tweet from Google Nexus, the first Google phone, Nexus One, which was initially shipped with the Eclair on board and got its newer Android 2.2 Froyo OS version upgrade during summer, will receive a software update to the new Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS in the next few weeks.

Along with HTC announcement on Facebook regarding Android 2.2 Froyo for its HTC Wildfire, Vodafone UK released the software update for their Wildfire just recent.

Vodafone UK’s subscribers who have the HTC Wildfire with Android 2.1 installed, can upgrade their smartphone by installing the latest software, version 2.24.161.1 (Froyo), as soon as they receive a notification on the availability of the new software solution in their handset. To install the new OS, users would simply have to follow the on screen instructions.

Sprint has just announced that a new software update for Overdrive 3G/4G Mobile Hotspot by Sierra Wireless, firmware version 2.23 is available beginning today, November 10, 2010.

By installing this latest firmware, users will get an improvement on Wi-Fi, connection and device stability; an improved 4G Rescan timer, new over temp UI indications, enhannced start time and 4G automatic update feature.
