BlackBerry Curve 9300 3G Smartphone Released

RIM has just updating their BlackBerry Curve series with the addition of the BlackBerry Curve 9300 3G smartphone.

The 3G (HSDPA) capable BlackBerry Curve 3G features the iconic BlackBerry design with a full QWERTY keyboard for comfortable typing as well as an optical trackpad for the ease of navigation. Inside its 109 x 60 x 13.9 mm measured case, this 104 grams smartphone is loaded with a 624 Mhz processor, 256 MB RAM and 256 MB ROM empowering its pre-loaded BlackBerry 5 OS.

In addition, this current Curve 3G’s preloaded OS is upgradeable to the new BlackBerry 6 OS that was announced last week in the coming months.

BlackBerry Curve 9300 3G sports a 2.46 inches TFT color display with 320×240 pixels resolution and an integrated 2MPx fixed focus camera featuring video recording capability; which unfortunately, this camera didn't come with flash light support.

Curve 3G runs on quad band GSM/GPRS/EDGE networks, and as its name, also support 3G and HSDPA as well. This smartphone also offer Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n wireless connectivity with WPA and WPA2 security options, Bluetooth 2.1 with EDR, built in GPS and a micro USB 2.0 port.

A multimedia player with support for both audio (MP3, AMR-NB, AAC-LC, AAC+, eAAC+, WMA, Flac, Ogg Vorbis) and video (MPEG4, H.263, H.264, WMV9) files is present, as well as a 3.5mm stereo audio jack, a dedicated music keys and a microSD slot with support for up to 32GB memory card or storage expansion.

Its other worth mentioned features include BlackBerry Messenger, instant messaging, HTML browser, organizer and tethered modem.

According to RIM, the new BlackBerry Curve 3G smartphone (model 9300) will be available globally starting this month. Pricing and availability details isn't yet to be announced.
