Disney Mobile’s First Android Smartphone Announced in Japan

Disney Mobile, a Walt Disney Company-operated MVNO on SoftBank, announced the upcoming launch of their first android-running smartphones.

Based on the released images, this Disney Mobile's smartphone seems to be a Disney-branded version of the Sharp 003SH that sports a 3.8-inch parallax 3D and an integrated, hi-end 9.6-megapixels main camera with HD video recording capability. It runs Android 2.2 (Froyo) platform and core powered with 1GHz processor inside.

Onkyo SlatePad TA117 10.1-inch Tablets Unveiled, Froyo and Tegra-2 OnBoard

Japanese manufacturer, Onkyo, has just unveiled the new SlatePad TA117 series tablets in their home market; consisting two models: TA117C1 and TA117C3.

Onkyo SlatePad TA117 tablet is an android based device, built based Google Android 2.2 (Froyo) platform, powered by the advanced 1 Ghz NVIDIA Tegra 2 250 processor, and and graphically enhanced by the NVIDIA GeForce GPU on board. The slate sports a 10.1-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen display with 1024×600 pixels resolution and 16M color supports, a 1.3-megapixels front facing camera and offer support for multi-touch input.

LG L-02C LTE Modem Launched via NTT DoCoMo

Recently, LG Electronics has just announced the availability of their Long-Term Evolution (LTE) modem model L-02C, made for Japanese LTE networks which will be shipped via NTT DoCoMo.

Similar to the one unveiled for Verizon Wireless earlier this month, LG L-02C LTE Modem is a user friendly accessories which can be used, simply by connecting it to the USB port on PC or Notebook PC. It supports diverse operating systems including Windows7, Vista, XP, and Mac OS. The device is also quite compact at its 35mm width and 12.9 mm thickness.

Honey Bee 4 WX350K Phone Via Willcom

Japanese mobile phone operator Willcom has just unveiled their latest handset, a simple yet affordable phone, namely Honey Bee 4.

The candybar Honey Bee 4 WX350K is developed by Kyocera. This 42×121×10.8 mm measured handset is equipped with 2.0 inches QVGA color display, an integrated camera, MP3 player, USB port, NetFront3.4 browser and several built in games. This phone comes with a lithium ion battery which provides up to 700-hours of standby time or up to 9-hours talk time.

Sharp IS03 au Android Smartphone Launched by KDDI

Japanese mobile provider KDDI has just added an advanced handset into their Android au smartphones line up, Sharp IS03, which highlighted by its advanced display as well as hi-quality imaging device.

Sharp IS03 is designed to runs on KDDI's CDMA networks, with support for CDMA 1x EV-DO Rev.A (CDMA 1X WIN) data bearer. This android smartphone is built based on Android 2.1 (Eclair) platform. It's physically measures 63×121×12.6 mm (thickest part is 13.3mm) and weighs 138g.
