Sharp IS03 is designed to runs on KDDI's CDMA networks, with support for CDMA 1x EV-DO Rev.A (CDMA 1X WIN) data bearer. This android smartphone is built based on Android 2.1 (Eclair) platform. It's physically measures 63×121×12.6 mm (thickest part is 13.3mm) and weighs 138g.
This handset is equipped with a 3.5-inch display featuring ASV technology (Advanced Super View TFT) which offer a crisp images regardless of the viewing angle. Similar to the iPhone 4's, this screen offer a resolution of 640×960 pixels and supports for multi-touch functionality.
On the back, Sharp IS03 packs a 9.6-megapixel CCD camera powered with ProPix engine, with an options to choose for up to ISO 12800 sensitivity image capture. This imaging device feature autofocus mode, smile detection, face detection as well as HD video recording capability. And of course, a LED flash is also present.

Sharp IS03 offer a wide range of connectivity options by providing Wi-Fi 802.11b/g, Bluetooth 2.1 EDR, infrared (IrSimple™) and microUSB port. A full HTML web browser as well as Adobe Flash Lite 4.0 are also included, enabling users to get full advantages of these features.
In addition, Sharp IS03 also feature microSD card slot with support for up to 32GB memory card for storage expansion, multimedia player, FM tuner, 3.5 stereo audio jack and built in GPS. This phone will be offered in three models; Orange, Black and White.
According to KDDI (and Sharp), this android smartphone will be available in Japan starting late November 2010. Unfortunately, its pricing and wider availability aren't unveiled yet.
