Japanese Taglet app is one of the first NFC applications that were spotted in the Android Market. Developed by Japanese developer Kyosuke Inoue and a designer Ikumi Katayama, Taglet is a new Android app/service utilizing the latest Android 2.3(Gingerbread)'s new feature, Near Field Communication (NFC), which can enable devices to act as NFC readers.

With the app, you may register any other NFC devices with the service. You may add information like URL, short message, phone number, e-mail address, etc. on each NFC. Then, when you hold your Android over the device, Taglet will automatically start and show you the registered information. Then you can invoke other apps to use the information.
