Sony Ericsson Vivaz Lined Up For AT&T

The official words have been spread today. As soon as September 5, AT&T’s customers will have a chance to choose the 8.1MPx camera phone, Sony Ericsson Vivaz™, as one of their handset options.

Accompanying the recently announced Sony Ericsson Xperia X10, this new AT&T’s Sony Ericsson Vivaz will comes in one color option only, Vibrant Galaxy Blue. According to the PR, AT&T will be offering this 8.1MPx camera phone through their retail stores and online, at a price of $79.99 after a $50.00 mail in rebate, on 2-years contract agreement.

Just in case you missed the information, Sony Ericsson Vivaz is quite an advanced handset, powered by the combination of Symbian S60 OS and 720 MHz processor, enhanced with PowerVR SGX graphics on board. Highlighted by its imaging device, Vivaz is equipped with an 8.1 MPx autofocus snapper featuring face detection and smile detection, with flash LED and 720p video capture (at 24fps) capability.

With Vivaz™, AT&T customers can capture spontaneous moments and memories instantly with two quick camera keys – video and photo, which lock focus on the action as soon as it starts. Pre-loaded links to YouTube™ and Picasa™ Web Albums make it easy to upload HD videos and high resolution photos for sharing with friends and even the world.

Sony Ericsson Vivaz is an EDGE/3G compatible phone, with support for 10.2Mbps HSDPA. It sports a 3.2" TFT resistive touchscreen, multimedia player, FM radio and web browser. It have 75 MB internal storage, expandable via microSD slot with 8GB card included (32GB max). This handset also equipped with built in GPS, Wi-Fi, DLNA, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, microUSB and 3.5mm stereo audio jack. The standard battery is 1200 mAh.
