Samsung Haven is Added into Verizon’s Budget Handsets Line-Up

A new simple yet nicely featured entry-level handset, Samsung Haven, has been added into Verizon Wireless’s handset line-up today.

Verizon’s Samsung Haven which available in Charcoal Grey measures 100 x 51 x 18 mm. Aiming at users who want an easy-to-use wireless phone packed with features, this clamshell phone feature a 2.2" internal display with 176 x 220 pixels resolution and 1.07" external display with 96 x 96 pixels resolution; both an STN color (65k colors) display.

Haven's built in memory is 24MB and it provides a 2.5mm audio jack. This budget phone has a phonebook with supports for up to 500 entries. Personal organizer and tools features such as calendar and scheduling assistant, calculator with currency converter, world clock, and stop watch are presents. And for improving its readability, Haven's font's size is adjustable.

Samsung Haven comes with a 1000 mAh battery that should provides up to 14 days of standby time. In addition, the phone comes with dedicated keys for one-touch quick access to Emergency 911 (E911), speakerphone, voicemail, voice commands, In Case of Emergency (ICE)*, and My Pictures.

The Samsung Haven is available for order today and will be available on July 29 at Verizon Wireless Communications Stores and online at www.verizonwireless.com for $39.99 with a new two-year customer agreement.

* Users can program the ICE button with up to three personalized contacts that first responders can easily find in the event of an emergency.
