Kyocera K006 Clamshell Phone Launched in Japan

Japan Mobile Phone manufacturer, Kyocera, has just launched a new handset today; Kyocera K006. In which, as a part of KDDI Corporation's new handset lineup announced today, K006 is marked Japanese market only handset.

Aiming at people that mostly use their mobile phones for making phone calls and texting, Kyocera K006 offers most of mobile phone's basic features.

This phone comes equipped with a 3-inches QVGA LCD main display screen, a 0.9 inch OLED external display, a built-in 3.31 megapixel auto-focus camer, 100MB internal storage and a microSD slot with up to 16GB support. In addition, this phone is also waterproof --based on IPX5/IPX7 specs.

Offering easiness and high-visibility, Kyocera K006 offers some unique features such as “Simple Mode” which allows for easy operation of the most-used features, “Deka Moji” (large font sizes) as well as further control with “One-Touch Font Size Changeability” which allows the user to easily adjust the font size. Furthermore, its touch keys are designed spread apart to limit mistaken operations.

Kyocera K006 measures 50 × 107 × 17.4mm and weighs around 125 grams. This clamshell/flip phone will be available in three color options; Clear White, Deep Pink and Glossy Black. No pricing yet.
