UK's Orange is preparing to launch two Nokia's C series handsets, Nokia C1-01 and C2-01, to be offered for their subscribers, soon.

Nokia C1-01, which was announced back in June 2010, is an entry-level handset featuring 1.8-inches TFT color display with 128 × 160 pixels resolution, VGA camera with low-res video recording capability (128×96@10fps), and built in Stereo FM radio with RDS. Measures 108 x 45 x 14 mm, the candybar Nokia C1-01 also comes equipped with 10 MB of internal memory, microSD card slot, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, microUSB port and 3.5mm audio jack.

Samsung android based PMP which has just reported will being showcased in CES 2011, Samsung Galaxy Player, has already put on pre-order by UK's Amazon.

Samsung Galaxy Player is an Android 2.2 running PMP, powered with a 1GHz processor. The one which can be pre-ordered from the Amazon UK is the 8GB model and 16GB model. This device sports 4-inch LCD display with 800×480 pixels resolution, a VGA front facing camera and main 3.2 MP AF snapper.

As part of Vodafone’s Winter Sale on pay as you go promotion, the company offer a discounted price for some of its smartphones offering, in which, the deals last until the end of January 2011. So, what do we got here..

First, Vodafone 845. This company own-branded android-running smartphone got £10 price cut, now at £70 on pay as you go. Vodafone 845 quickie specs are 2.8" resistive toucscreen, cutomized Android Éclair OS, 3.2 megapixels camera, 3G support, built GPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

HTC has just outed the ROM upgrade which since Dec 22, is already available for HTC HD2 (Vodafone) users to be downloaded. Depending on its base languages, the update comes with the following versions: English (3.14.161.3), German (3.14.162.5), Dutch (3.14.172.3) and Spanish (3.14.164.4).

Recently, LG via their official UK blog, announced that they have partnered with legendary movie composer Ennio Morricone to provide ringtones for LG’s new smartphones.

The world’s first dual-core phone, LG Optimus 2X, is the one which will be the first LG’s smartphone to get the exclusive Morricone compositions included on board. Included amongst the 25 compositions will be 15 exclusive new tracks alongside 10 of Morricone’s best-known compositions, including music from Cinema Paradiso, The Mission and Love Affair.

Along with HTC announcement on Facebook regarding Android 2.2 Froyo for its HTC Wildfire, Vodafone UK released the software update for their Wildfire just recent.

Vodafone UK’s subscribers who have the HTC Wildfire with Android 2.1 installed, can upgrade their smartphone by installing the latest software, version 2.24.161.1 (Froyo), as soon as they receive a notification on the availability of the new software solution in their handset. To install the new OS, users would simply have to follow the on screen instructions.

Nexus S Launch for UK Market Pushed Back

Google Nexus S won't be available for UK market as it was planned before due the limited supplies of this smartphones. Actually, this delay isn't that bad as it's only a couple of days late. The Nexus S will be available from Carphone Warehouse and Best Buy, as soon as December 22. However, once again, due its limited supplies, this Android 2.3-running smartphone will only be available in "key" stores.

Orange has just unveiled their own-branded android smartphone today, dubbed as Orange San Francisco. This handset is originally manufactured by ZTE (codenamed as ZTE Blade).

Orange San Francisco is built based on Android platform, running Android version 2.1 (Eclair) OS and core powered by the combination of a 600MHz Qualcomm MSM7227 processor and 256 MB installed RAM onboard, along with 512 MB ROM --with 150MB of user-accessible internal storage. It sports a fairly large, 3.5-inch TFT touchscreen display with WVGA (480×800 pixels) resolution and 262K colors support; while at back, it has an integrated 3.2-megapixels auto-focus snapper.
