As a phone, Celsius X VI II LeDIX isn't quite impressive for its price. LeDIX comes with a proprietary platform which made in France; it runs on tri-band 900/1800/1900MHz GSM with support for GPRS and EDGE (2.75G).
At first glance, LeDIX is a clamshell cell phone with an integrated tourbillion watch. As streamlined as a sports car, this aerodynamic creation is made from polished and brushed grade 5 titanium discreetly enhanced by inserts. It is the ultimate expression of contemporary elegance.
However, LeDIX is an artwork; not a phone nor watch. That is why although this "thing" is way too much for most of us, in some point of view, it does worth the price. As for those some, things such as art, heart, mind and time... are priceless.
Being specs-wise, Celsius X VI II LeDIX features 2.2" AMOLED display with QVGA (320×240 pixels) resolution and 262K colors support, 3.2MPx autofocus camera with flash and digital zoom function, Bluetooth connectivity, 2GB internal memory and an open source browser. This phone also comes with a multimedia player along with a 3.5mm stereo audio jack and 3D sound enhancement. Its phone battery is 770mAh li-ion, providing up to 240 hours of standby time or up to 3.5 hours of talk time.
Designed for International users, this handset provides a multi-lingual interface, including: French, English, Chinese, Russian, Spanish, and Arabic.
Celsius X VI II LeDIX is built with around 600 mechanical parts, including 330 in the watch movement alone. Its structure entirely milled from a block of grade 5 titanium and it comes with a high-end watchmaking finishes including polishing, satin-brushing, Clous de Paris hobnail pattern, shotblasting.
For its mechanical movement, LeDIX employs a patented mechanical hinge (Remontage Papillon), serving to harness and store the kinetic energy generated by the user to activate the mechanical system. Each opening and closing of the clamshell phone generates an additional 3 hours of power reserve, and it capable to store up to 100-hour power reserve in total.
Celsius X VI II LeDIX also features a visible Flying Solitaire tourbillion on both sides, a regulating organ mounted on shock-absorbers (4 springs) and a water-resistant box in aluminum treated with GL coating of titanium and ceramics to ensure extreme resistance of its movement.
