The Nokia E7 smatphone, which was announced back in September along with two other Nokia's new phones (Nokia C7, and Nokia C6) was actually expected to begin shipping before the end of the year.
As a quickie brief, Nokia E7 is a Symbian^3 OS based smartphone, powered with 680 MHz ARM 11 processor, 256 MB RAM and 1 GB ROM. This phone, which comes with 16GB internal storage sports a 4-inch AMOLED display, an 8-megapixel camera with 720p video recording and dual LED flash, Wi-Fi connectivity, Bluetooth 3.0, built in GPS and a 1,200 mAh battery. Its estimated retails price is EUR 495 before taxes and subsidies.
Back then, the N8 which was announced on April, was also delayed and, after launch, Nokia admitted some of the phones had power problems. In this E7 delay case, none of any technical nor non-technical issues is explained yet.
As quoted from Reuters, Nokia's spokesperson said that, "to ensure the best possible user experience on the E7 we have decided to begin shipping in early 2011". I guess we've to wait it a little longer than :| hopefully it's worth..
