A new year gift from Verizon Wireless, maybe :) As reported by DroidLife, Verizon's pricing on the sleek android-running Samsung Galaxy Tab has just got dropped to $499. And even better, they also adding $60 worth bonus of free movie rentals through either the Blockbuster app or Media Hub.
Samsung Galaxy Tab, which was first announced last September, is a Froyo-running tablet, sporting 7" capacitive Gorilla Glass display, 1 gigs processor, 3.2 MP main cmera, front facing VGA camera, HSDPA support, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0 and built in GPS on board. Back then, the slate was put in shelves by Verizon in November, with a price tag of $599.99.
This $100 price cut is undeniably appealing, and even more, DroidLife also reported that if any of you purchased a Galaxy Tab within the last 14 days for $599, you should head back into the store and get a refund of $100. However, it hasn't been confirmed yet whether this deal is only a special in-store promotion or not. Stay tuned.
