HTC 7 Trophy Would Be Verizon’s First Windows Phone 7 Smartphone?

According to Paul Thurrott, news editor at Windows IT Pro, one of the new Verizon Wireless' Windows Phone 7 device that will be unveiled in early 2011 is HTC 7 Trophy.

The Windows Phone 7-running HTC 7 Trophy is built with 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon QSD8250 processor and it features a 3.8-inch S-LCD capacitive touchscreen display, accelerometer sensor for UI auto-rotate, proximity sensor for auto turn-off and multi-touch input method.

HTC 7 Trophy comes equipped with 576 MB RAM and 512 MB ROM. It has 8 GB internal memory as well as a built in GPS with A-GPS support. This Windows 7 Phone smartphone also features 5-megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n connectivity and Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP. Trophy's standard included 1300 mAh battery is rated by the manufacturer for up to 435 hours standby time or up to 3.5 hours talk time in 3G network.

Not so long ago, Verizon did mentioned that they'll introduce a new Windows Phone 7 device in early 2011. If our source is accurate, then this HTC 7 Trophy would be the first Windows Phone 7 smartphone to be available from Verizon.
