Sprint’s Overdrive 3G/4G Mobile Hotspot owners can obtain this new firmware upgrade via two methods, over the air or by manually update.
1. Over the Air
- Power on your Overdrive and connect your computer to it via Wi-Fi
- Open your browser and type either http://overdrive/
- On the homepage, enter the admin password (default is “password”)
- Click on Advanced Settings and go to the Device >> Basic tab
- Select “Check updates now”
- Select update to proceed
2. Manually update
- Download the update file from this link
- Power on your Overdrive and connect to your computer via Wi-Fi
- Open your browser and type http://overdrive/
- Click on Advanced Settings and go to the Device >> Basic tab
- Select “Choose File” option under the Update Firmware from file
- Select update to proceed
Please take note that your Overdrive 3G/4G Mobile Hotspot must be plugged into your AC power to perform an update.
