Optimus Z, runs on quad-band GSM with support for 7.2 Mbps HSDPA. This smartphone which measures 117.9 x 56.9 x 11 mm and weighs 135 gram, comes in matte-finish metal which gives this device a solid and durable feel.
On the display, the Optimus Z comes with a 3.5 inch WVGA “Hyper” HD LCD, with a native resolution of 800 x 480 pixels and capacitive touchscreen capability. This smartphone is loaded with lots of multimedia features including 5 MP autofocus snapper (w/ LED flash) featuring 720p video capture, Korea-specific T-DMB mobile TV, Dolby Mobile, DivX compatibility, HDMI port and 3.5 mm audio jack.
In a first for Korean smartphones, the LG Optimus Z offers On Screen Phone function that lets user display their phone interface on the screen of their PC; using Bluetooth or a data cable.
Inside, the LG Optimus Z which built with an advanced 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon QSD8250 GHz processor, will comes preloaded with Android OS 2.1 --with an option to upgrade it to Version 2.2 before the end of the year. To enhance users mobility, this handset also features Document viewer for Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF; and a wide data communication options including Wi-Fi, DLNA, Bluetooth v2.1 with A2DP and microUSB port.
This android based mobile phone will be offered through Korean local telecoms providers; SK Telecom and KT. In addition, the LG Optimus Z comes pre-equipped with more than 100 of the most popular applications in Korea, along with 70 more that are not available in the Android Market; additional applications may be downloaded through SK Telecom’s and KT’s respective application stores.
