The two first smartphones, HTC Tianxi (天玺) and HTC Tianyi (天怡), which are both customized for China Mobile, built based on Windows Mobile 6.5 and Android 2.2 OS respectively.
HTC Tianxi (天玺) is built with 800 MHz TI OMAP 3630 processor, 384 MB RAM and 512 MB ROM. This smartphone features 4.3" capacitive touchscreen WVGA (480×800 pixels) display, 5 megapixels camera, 2.8 Mbps 3G HSDPA support, microSD slot, Bluetooth 2.1, Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n), built in GPS, multimedia player with 3.5 mm audio jack and Opera mobile browser. In addition, HTC Tianxi (天玺) also offer a video call feature. Its standard included battery is 1400 mAh li-ion.
The android based HTC Tianyi (天怡) is equipped with 416 MHz STE T6719 processor, 384 MB RAM and 512 MB ROM. Its display is touchscreen, 3.2" inches large with 240×320 (QVGA) resolution. Just like HTC Tianxi (天玺), this smartphone offer support for hi-speed 2.8 Mbps 3G HSDPA. It other features include 3.2 MPx main snapper, microSD slot, Bluetooth 2.1, Wi-Fi (802.11 b), built in GPS, multimedia player with 3.5 mm audio jack, HTML browser and 1300 mAh li-ion battery.
HTC Desire (渴望) is built based on Android OS, with a processor running at 1GHz of clock speed, 576 MB installed RAM and 512 MB ROM. This handset has a 3.7" touchscreen display, which similar to HTC Tianxi 天玺's display, performing at WVGA (480×800 pixels) resolution. HTC Desire (渴望) features a 5MPx main camera, hi-speed 7.2 Mbps 3G HSDPA support, Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g), Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, built in GPS, microSD slot, multimedia player with 3.5 mm stereo audio jack and 1400 mAh li-ion battery.
The fourth device unveiled, HTC Wildfire (野火), is also an Android based smartphone. Its core is loaded with a 528 Mhz processor, 384 MB installed RAM and 512 MB ROM. This smartphone sports a 3.2" inches touchscreen display with 240×320 (QVGA) resolution as well as 5 MPx main camera. Similar to HTC Desire (渴望), HTC Wildfire (野火) offer support for hi-speed 7.2 Mbps 3G HSDPA. Its other highlighted features include Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, built in GPS, microSD slot, multimedia player with 3.5 mm audio jack and 1300 mAh li-ion battery.
As part of its mobile operator focus, HTC also announced a partnership with China Mobile to bring future HTC phones to market and announced a new distribution partnership with China’s largest electronics distributor, GOME Electrical Appliances Holding Ltd.
