Samsung has just announced the release of a new touchscreen phone for United States market, the Samsung Suede, which will be available via Cricket. This handset will debut with the new Cricket Muve Music™ service in January 2011.
Samsung Suede (model: SCH-r710) is a slim, stylish full-featured messaging phone. This candybar phone sports a 3" touchscreen color display with 240×400 pixels resolution, featuring a accelerometer, virtual QWERTY keyboard, and a simple TouchWiz user interface. It measures 112.9×55.5×12.7 mm and weighs only 94 g.
This phone, which also known as Samsung r710, comes with a full messaging suite, Bluetooth connectivity, microUSB 2.0, 135MB of internal memory, a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 16GB of expandable memory, and a 3.0 megapixel camera and camcorder. In addition, Samsung Suede also comes with a built-in online services support for Facebook, MySpace and Twitter.
Samsung Suede will debut with the new Cricket Muve Music™ service in January 2011. It comes with a dedicated Muve Music button, which provides Cricket customers with one-touch access to download music instantly over Cricket’s 3G network.
According to the official PR, the Samsung Suede SCH-r710 with the Cricket Muve Music service will be available at select Cricket Wireless stores beginning in January 2011. The handset will be going for a price of $199, while the Cricket unlimited plan including Muve Music is $55 per month.
