The South Korean company Pantech has just extends their smartphone lineup with the addition of the new Pantech Vega X a.k.a Pantench Vega Xpress.

This Pantech Vega X (model IM-A710K), is an advanced android-running smartphone. Compete at the same level of the LG Optimus 2X, Pantech Vega X is powered by a dual-core 1GHz processor inside, Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8255 with a built-in ability to process 3D graphics.

Based on Qualcomm’s MSM8225, the Android-based smartphone is enhancing 3D graphic processing with an increase that is two times faster than before and increasing power efficiency by up to 2 or 3 times, Pantech said.

Moreover, Vega X is the first smartphone comes equipped with a DDR2 memory on board, which supposedly able to deliver 1.5 times faster speeds than the previous generation memory.

Specs-wise, Pantech Vega X comes with a 4-inch WVGA (800×480 pixels, 16M colors) touchscreen display, 5 megapixel auto focus camera with LED flash, microSD slot with 8GB card included, NFC capabilities, 1500 mAh battery and a decent communication technology support such as Wi-Fi, DLNA, TV-out and microUSB port. This smartphone measures 120.5×62.8×10.9 mm and quite light weight for its class, weigh in at 119.9 grams only.

According to Pantech, Pantech Vega X smartphone (model IM-A710K) would make an appearance on the South Korean market via KT Corp. and LG U+ Corp. However, no pricing nor specific details of this smartphone available yet.
