Words said that there is a good chance for us to see BenQ's first tablet, namely BenQ R100, in the first quarter of next year.

The BenQ R100, is said to comes with an Android 2.2 (Froyo) operating system and core powered with an ARM-based processor made by Samsung that runs at 833MHz. R100 tablet boasts a 10.1-inch LCD touchscreen with 1024×600 resolution, a touch resistive one.

Being a tablet with a resistive touchscreen, BenQ R100 will more likely to comes with with a stylus to support handwriting recognition, which just make sense for handling both simplified and traditional Chinese handwriting as BenQ is by the fact is a Taiwan based company.

In terms of tech specs, this android-running BenQ R100 is equipped with 8GB of storage, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, microSD slot, miniUSB port, a 3.5mm headphone jack and a mini-HDMI socket. Its battery, unspecified yet, is said to be able to last for up to 12 hours of use on a single charge.
